Steel Dragons Eke Out 3-2 Win Versus Taipei
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Kuwana Steel Dragons and Taipei Wardens came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

In a low-scoring clash between Kuwana and Taipei, pitcher Gerard Scott was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Steel Dragons win. Scott, now 10-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Earning the save was Lou Long. He's now cashed in 35 of 41 save opportunities.

Natsu Kono helped out the Kuwana cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 1-3.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Kuwana manager Naosuke Horiuchi. "That's what Gerard is right now."

The third-place Wardens have lost 4 straight games.
