Santo Domingo Triumphs with Late Surge
The Santo Domingo Decepticons topped the Aruba Wahoos, 5-1, in Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action at The Fish Bowl. The game was highlighted by the performance of Santo Domingo pitcher Imre Blòmel. Blòmel yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-0. Tony Mesh collected his 2nd save.

Santo Domingo took a 2-1 lead on Luis Delgado's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Delgado hit in the top of the eighth, left Aruba pitcher Armando Hernández visibly frustrated.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Delgado.

The loss makes Aruba 25-21.
