Bowness HS took on Matanzas HS in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Gannon Boyle, in particular, was fantastic. The Bowness HS right-hander helped his team snag the win, 3-0. Ed Cunningham closed it out for Bowness HS, earning his 2nd save. With the win, Bowness HS boosts its record to 2-5.
Scott Rivera helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Spartans.
"It's a mindset," said Boyle. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
