Colossus Knock Off Saints, 8-2
|
South Kamloops HS registered a win at South Kamloops Ballpark by beating the Hildegard Saints, 8-2. Pitcher Darrel Josey was one reason why the Colossus triumphed. Josey got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The loss drops Hildegard to 3-6.
The Colossus got a big hit from catcher Bob Bishop. Facing Hildegard pitcher Melchior Berghahn in the bottom of the fifth, Bishop pounded a 3-run home run to right-center. His 1st home run of the season put the Colossus ahead, 8-0.
"Darrel mixed and matched," said South Kamloops HS manager Anthony LeBlanc.
