The Club Deportiva Zaragoza Toros went down to defeat to Ian Arthurton and his Eton teammates. The final score was 4-0, in favor of the Rifles. After losing, Club Deportiva Zaragoza is 1-4.
Shane Marsland had a big run-scoring triple for the Rifles in the bottom of the second inning. With Eton leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 17-year old right-handed pitcher José Rivera and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rifles ahead, 2-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Eton manager Tom Barkley.
