Stags Lose Versus Strathcona HS, 5-2
|
Strathcona HS pitcher Jason Raymond had a large part in his team subduing the Hunting Hills HS Stags, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. In 5 innings, Raymond surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Bob Carruthers collected save number 2.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Eddie Arnett put Strathcona HS in front, 4-2, with a 2-run single. The Leopards went on to win the ballgame.
"When I go out there," said Raymond, "the last thing I want to do is let my teammates down."
The loss makes Hunting Hills HS 0-3.
