|
The Manila HS Water Buffalo got a superb performance from shortstop Winston Medina, but the Taitung HS Hermits still won the game, 7-5. Medina went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Taitung HS reliever Gong Zhào got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Takeji Kobayashi was tagged with the loss. Cheng-qian Ge recorded his 15th save for Taitung HS.
Sy-ing Fok helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Hermits.
Said losing manager Kan-goo Hwang: "'I liked the effort, just not the results."
With the win, the Hermits have a record of 23-25.
