The Chiben HS Namami Samurai defeated the Ulsan HS Flames by the score of 7-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Yukinaga Higashi. Higashi went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Namami Samurai on the day. Picking up the win was Ryoichi Kono. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 1. By defeating Ulsan HS, the last-place Namami Samurai improved to 16-24.

Tadayoshi Kiyomizu had a big 3-run home run for the Namami Samurai in the bottom of the third inning. With Chiben HS leading 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from Su-min Ping, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Flames organization, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Namami Samurai on top, 6-0.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Higashi.
