Hermits Lose Again, 4-2, to Mountaineers
|
Rod Berg, who leads the PC with a 0.79 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Canberra HS Mountaineers to a 4-2 win against the Taitung HS Hermits at Ballpark of Canberra. The winning pitcher was Berg, now 1-4. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Canberra HS has won 3 straight, while Taitung HS has lost 6 in a row.
Shortstop Dermott Glynn made an impact for Canberra HS, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Kun Chu in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Glynn was 2-4 with a double.
"The key for me has just been attacking the zone and hitting my spots. When I'm throwing strikes and not falling behind in counts, those are the days when I pitch really good," said Berg.
