Anthony Lee, who is tied for 10th in the TRI with a 8.5 K/9 rate, pitched well, but the Taipei Wardens still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Kure Arsenal at Nisshin Steel Dome at Kure. The 5th-place Arsenal are 55-63.

The Wardens had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Arsenal going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old first baseman Tsugumichi Tada came to the plate. Tada hit a run-scoring double on a 1-1 fastball from Taipei hurler Anthony Lee. It was Tada's 7th double of the year.

"We'll put this win in the can," said Tada, "and go after the next one."
