Big Day for Saito as Eijisu Masters Down Hermits, 5-1
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 18-year old first baseman Eisaku Saito, the Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters stopped the Taitung HS Hermits, 5-1. Tsurayuki Kobayashi, the winner, is now 1-3. He struck out 4 and walked 2 over 5 innings, while allowing no runs on no hits. Osaka Toin HS's winning streak has reached 5 games.
With Osaka Toin HS leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Saito hit a fastball from Wu-sheng Guan for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Eijisu Masters ahead, 4-0.
