Goudie Powers Scots to 9-7 Win
Behind a solid performance from catcher Wendell Goudie, the Dunedin HS Scots defeated the Chiben HS Namami Samurai, 9-7. Goudie was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Scots. William Spooner, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Nathan Mccarthy earned the save for Dunedin HS, his 9th of the year.

Anthony Olson took Chiben HS hurler Tadanobu Yamasaki deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Scots on top, 9-6. In all, Olson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Olson. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."
