Stanford Helps Grizzlies Beat Huskies, 7-6
|
The Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies did just enough to sneak past the Horizon HS Huskies, 7-6, at Horizon HS Grounds. Rocky Mountain HS first baseman Carlos Stanford, in particular, had a standout performance. The Grizzlies now own a record of 4-9.
Stanford had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Chris Davis, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Grizzlies a 7-6 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Stanford.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Stanford. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
