Skeeters Drop Another One, 6-1

The Lodi HS Devils reigned over the Yerington HS Skeeters in damp conditions.
The Lodi HS Devils defeated the Yerington HS Skeeters, 6-1, at Skeeters Ballpark. Leading the charge for Lodi HS was left fielder Juan Santana. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Felipe Reyes. His record now stands at 1-0. The right-hander went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits for the Devils.
Lodi HS used a well-timed hit by Robert Chandler to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Devils ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"I thought we were prepared," Yerington HS manager Corbin Hickman said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
The win hiked the Lodi HS record to 5-5.
