The Chatfield HS Mustangs topped the Rocky Mountain HS Grizzlies, 5-2, in 10 innings at Meridian Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chatfield HS pitcher Albert Pierce. Chatfield HS reliever Ron MacKinley was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Gerald Fisher. Ed López closed it out for his 2nd save.

Freddy Cabrera came through with a big-time hit for Chatfield HS. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
