Thunderhawks Use Late Rally to Win 4th Straight
The Rio Rancho HS Goats got a sterling performance from second baseman Dustin Hughes, but the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks still prevailed, 9-6. Hughes went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The win went to Jon Blair in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sergio Torres took the loss. With the loss, Rio Rancho HS is 2-7.

Tumwater HS needed the clutch hitting of Ash Guy to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunderhawks on top, 3-1. For the game, Guy had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Guy.
