Charlotte Amalie Roughed Up By Flying Fish
|
A 3-RBI performance from designated hitter Diego Muñóz, who is tied for 7th in the IBC in runs scored with 22, led the Bridgetown Flying Fish to a win over the Charlotte Amalie Batey, 8-1. The win makes Bridgetown 20-18.
Ben Bennett had a big 3-run home run for the Flying Fish in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bridgetown leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from fireballing left-hander Cheh Er and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flying Fish ahead, 5-1.
"They just got us," said Charlotte Amalie manager Dale Mitchell, "and that's all I can say."
