Xú Hits 2 home runs in Privateers Win
The bats were silent much of the day at Kensington. But 20-year old second baseman Guo-dong Xú produced just enough offense to carry the Privateers past the Bridgetown Flying Fish, 3-1. Xú hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Angelito Maticorena. He tossed 93 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. Guillaume Oger picked up his 7th save of the season.

Port Royal grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Xú hit a 2-run home run off Hugo Amoruso. His 6th home run of the season put the Privateers out in front, 2-0.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Port Royal manager Juan Castro.

Port Royal is now 14-20.
