Privateers Better Mystique, 3-2

Starting pitcher Chris Lithgow gave the Port Royal Privateers a rock-solid effort. The Bowie, Maryland native helped his team defeat the Montserrat Mystique, 3-2, at Tanks Ballpark. Lithgow got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. César Sepúlveda earned his 5th save, after closing out the game.
In the bottom of the sixth, Carl Everett delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Port Royal pinch hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Privateers in front, 3-2.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Lithgow.
Port Royal, with the win, is 10-21.
