Decepticons Fall, 4-1, to Port Royal

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Port Royal Privateers and Santo Domingo Decepticons.
Port Royal got a strong outing from Gwon-soo Yi as the Privateers defeated the Santo Domingo Decepticons, 4-1, at Tanks Ballpark. Josh Johnstone picked up the save for Port Royal, his 3rd of the year.
Tony Ramos had a big 3-run home run for the Privateers in the bottom of the first inning. With Port Royal leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Randall Tynnan and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Privateers ahead, 4-0.
"When Gwon-soo's on, he's on," said Port Royal manager Juan Castro.
The 7th-place Privateers are now 12-17, the Decepticons 14-15.
