A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Port Royal Privateers and Santo Domingo Decepticons.

The Port Royal Privateers cut down the Santo Domingo Decepticons by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Dave McIver. McIver hit 2 home runs for the Privateers. Paul Danagher closed it out for Port Royal, earning his 1st save.

Steve Benjamin, who is tied for 9th in the IBC in RBI with 17, contributed to the Port Royal win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said McIver.

Port Royal bumps their record to 11-17 with the win.
