Decepticons Rack Up 5-4 Win Versus Bridgetown
|
In a close game at The Pit of Kaon, the Santo Domingo Decepticons edged the Bridgetown Flying Fish, 5-4. Santo Domingo designated hitter Jesús Marrero stood apart with his performance. He went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Santo Domingo currently is in 7th place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League at 8-12.
Marrero had a timely hit for Santo Domingo in the bottom of the seventh. With Santo Domingo trailing 4-1, he turned a 2-0 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 5-4, Santo Domingo.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Marrero.
