Decepticons Trip Mamajuanas, 6-0

The Santo Domingo Decepticons knocked off the Punta Cana Mamajuanas, 6-0, in Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action at Safeway Grounds. Santo Domingo pitcher and Guantanamo, Cuba, native Octávio Estrada had an outstanding performance. Estrada, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The Decepticons, now 2-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Esteban Castillo had a big 2-run home run for the Decepticons in the top of the fourth inning. With Santo Domingo leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Varick Eubel and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Decepticons on top, 4-0.
