The Kabsabet Duba downed the Addis Ababa Rifters, 5-4, the largest share of the credit belonging to right fielder Senan Salter. On the day, Salter went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Duba. Nick Martínez stitched up the save, his 16th. Addis Ababa has now lost 5 straight.
Kabsabet used a clutch at-bat from Walter Rauh to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Duba ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We're producers not directors," said Salter. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
