The Port Sudan Tycoons picked up a win at Plano Grounds, downing the Cairo Pharaohs, 8-2. On the mound for Port Sudan was right-hander Li-xue Chew, who played a pivotal role in the win. Chew picked up the win for Port Sudan, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. At 24-34, the Tycoons find themselves in 7th place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Red Sea League.

Corey Lancaster had a big 3-run home run for the Tycoons in the bottom of the second inning. With Port Sudan leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 16-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Costello and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Tycoons on top, 6-0.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Pedro Barrón said.
