The Kabsabet Duba locked up a win at The Rift, knocking off the Addis Ababa Rifters, 6-3. On the mound for Kabsabet was right-hander Wesley Kessler. He played a major role in the triumph. Kabsabet reliever John Rose got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Eric Jenkins was tagged with the loss. Nick Martínez was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.

Kabsabet needed the clutch hitting of Brian Poskitt to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Duba on top, 5-3. For the game, Poskitt had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Kessler attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
