The Cairo Pharaohs knocked off the Port Sudan Tycoons, 2-1, in Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action at Ramses II Ballpark. Cairo pitcher and Koyang, South Korea, native Hyo-jin Cho had an outstanding performance. Cairo is last in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Red Sea League with a record of 6-32.

The Tycoons had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Pharaohs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old catcher Ted Rogers came to the plate. Rogers hit a solo home run on a 2-0 fastball from Port Sudan hurler Li-xue Chew. It was Rogers's 8th home run of the year.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Cho.
