Slide Continues for Pharaohs
|
The Cairo Pharaohs got a superb performance from pitcher Hyo-jin Cho, but the Djibouti Soldato still won the game, 3-0. Cho threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. José Martínez picked up his 9th save of the season. The losing streak for Cairo has now reached 7 games.
Djibouti won the game in part because of Josh Jenkins. The left fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Soldato ahead, 2-0. For the game, Jenkins had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Lyle Ferrell.
