The Port Sudan Tycoons picked up a win at Plano Grounds, knocking off the Addis Ababa Rifters, 4-1. Starting pitcher Li-xue Chew played a key role in the triumph. Hark Li collected save number 6. The Tycoons now have a mark of 12-16.
The Tycoons liked what they saw from Chew. The 20-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Rifters to no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, and striking out 8.
"Li-xue was really on it," said Port Sudan manager Pedro Barrón. "He's got a feel for playing with the hitter front-to-back, side-to-side."
