Asmara Earns 2-1 Win
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Asmara Modernists and the Port Sudan Tycoons. Asmara won it, 2-1. Asmara starter Tony Slocombe was in command. Port Sudan drops to 1-4.
Asmara got a jolt from Chang-yong O. The pinch hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it brought the house down.
"That's baseball," said Port Sudan manager Pedro Barrón. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
