Reed hits 2 home runs to Power Pirates Offense
Kenny Reed had an impact in the 9-3 Mogadishu win over Port Sudan. The 20-year old shortstop slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Wilson Mejía, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. With the win, Mogadishu lifts its record to 2-0.

Reed contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Mogadishu in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Reed took a fastball from Hak-su Kim and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Pirates to leap in front, 4-2.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Reed told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
