Helton Leads Bitters to Win
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Dan Helton, the Melbourne Bitters defeated the Tauranga Taniwha, 7-0. Helton was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Bitters. The 4th-place Taniwha now sit at 43-38.

The fans who filled the stands at Victoria Field to watch the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action seemed to enjoy the game.

"I think it just wasn't our night," said Tauranga skipper Christian Butler.
