Crocodile Hunters Victors, 3-0, at Brisbane
|
Sunshine Coast pitcher Bartolo González did his part in helping his team beat the Brisbane Stevedores, 3-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Rodrigo García recorded the save for Sunshine Coast, his 5th of the season. The first-place Stevedores now sit at 45-28.
Sunshine Coast used the hitting of Jon Baker to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Crocodile Hunters on top, 2-0. For the game, Baker had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
Sunshine Coast manager Tom Wickersham commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
