Crows Drop Kookaburras, 2-1, Behind Sterne
|
In a tightly-contested game between the Wagga Wagga Crows and the North Sydney Kookaburras, pitcher Josh Sterne was outstanding. The Wagga Wagga left-hander propelled his team's 2-1 win. North Sydney, at 36-30, has lost 4 straight.
Sterne, a native of Swindon, England, was dealing all game. He kept North Sydney hitters off-balance, while giving the Crows 7 quality innings. Sterne threw 81 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 5.
