Tauranga Rallies for 3-2 Win
|
Tauranga pitcher Roberto Ortíz did his part in helping his team defeat the Hobart Devils, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Tauranga reliever Randy Lockhart was the winner. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was Ed Adamic. Tauranga is now 27-26.
Tauranga got a game-changing hit from Hervé Lombard. The pinch hitter blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.
"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Lombard.
