The Auckland Aces BC got a good effort from starter António Rosales in defeating the Wagga Wagga Crows at Aukland Grounds. The final score was 4-2. The 'W' lifts Auckland's record to 23-26.
Tim Powers drove in one run for Auckland. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Powers had a clutch at-bat. Facing Wagga Wagga hurler Ruy Tarujo, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Aces BC a 3-2 lead.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Rosales, "and let the rest take care of itself."
