Taniwha Even Record with 6-2 Victory

The Tauranga Taniwha got a strong performance from pitcher António Vázquez. Bucky stymied the Brisbane offense en route to a solid, 6-2 win at Baypark at the Mount. The Taniwha, now 22-22, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.
The Taniwha got a big at-bat from right fielder Harumi Taguchi. For the game, Taguchi went 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Tauranga a 3-1 lead.
Said losing manager Joe O'Sullivan: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
