Bitters Get One-Run Win at Auckland
The Melbourne Bitters topped the Auckland Aces BC, 5-4, in Intercontinental Baseball Coalition action at Aukland Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Melbourne pitcher Yong Yi. With the win, Melbourne pushed its record to 21-21.

Shigochiyo Suzuki came through with a big-time hit for Melbourne. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Yi. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
