Auckland Beats Tauranga in Extra Innings
The Auckland Aces BC defeated the Tauranga Taniwha in 11 innings, 11-8, in part because of center fielder Tae-ho T'ak. T'ak was 2-3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Aces BC. The win was credited to Ju-long Kong in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Randy Lockhart took the loss. The Aces BC, now 14-20, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.

Auckland took the lead, 10-8, on Robert Robinson's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Tauranga pitcher Daniel Flowers in the top of the 11th.

"I get a nice buzz from a win like this one," said T'ak.
