Yang Leads Tauranga Past Wagga Wagga
|
Young-kwang Yang, who is tied for 3rd in the IBC in wins with 4, pitched a gem in leading Tauranga to a 1-0 victory over the Wagga Wagga Crows. The 4th-place Taniwha now have a win-loss record of 14-13.
The famously hardworking Yang handled the Crows all day, notching 4 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 2 hits. Yang, who is tied for 9th in the IBC in innings pitched with 42.1, goes to 4-2 on the year with 31 strikeouts.
"Young-kwang -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Taniwha manager Christian Butler. "He was the key to us winning."
