António Rosales pitched well, but the Auckland Aces BC still fell short, losing, 4-0, to the Melbourne Bitters at Victoria Field. Melbourne pitcher Juan Rodríguez got the win, upping his record to 1-0. António Rosales got the loss. The losing streak for Auckland has now reached 4 games.
The Bitters got a big at-bat from catcher Diego Morales. For the game, Morales went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Melbourne a 3-0 lead.
Morales attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
