Gorillas Stick Dragons with 4-1 Loss
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 20-year old second baseman César Ríos, the Gimpo Gorillas stopped the Daegu Dragons, 4-1. The win belonged to Gilbert Mersch in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Lee Rodgers took the loss for Daegu. The Gorillas move to 37-53 with the win, while the Dragons drop to 42-48.

Ríos had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch changeup from Lee Rodgers, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Gorillas a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Ríos.

"If it's down the middle," said Ríos, "you might as well hit it."
