Dragons Take Tight Tilt
|
Daegu starter Sugimoto Goto pitched effectively against the Gohueng Gom at Daegu Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 1-0. The 7th-place Dragons sport a record of 29-46.
The Dragons got a big at-bat from shortstop Bill Gibson. For the game, Gibson went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Daegu a 1-0 lead.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Daegu skipper Ed Rush. "I can't complain."
