Vega, Sejong Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Sejong Administrators claimed a close win over the Busan Whales, due in large part to Vicente Vega. The Sejong right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Javier Campos was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. The Administrators, at 40-32, sit in third place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Hanguk League.
Vega kept the Whales under his thumb. He scattered 4 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 9. The right-hander upped his season record to 1-0.
Afterward, Administrators manager Ralph McCabe was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
