Gorillas Use Late Surge to Win
Gimpo and Daegu played a hard-fought contest.

The Gimpo Gorillas earned a win at Daegu Ballpark, leveling the Daegu Dragons, 3-1, in 13. Bryan Pearce, who is tied for 9th in the IBC in strikeouts with 97, played a big role in his team's success. Marcus Fletcher was credited with the save for Gimpo, his 1st of the season.

Pearce went the distance -- and then some -- for the Gorillas, throwing 9.2 innings of 4-hit ball against the Dragons, striking out 8.

"That was a good baseball game," said Pearce.

With this game in the books, Gimpo is 38-28, Daegu 23-43.
