Muju Rallies for 5-2 Victory
|
The Muju Naturalists faced a tough opponent in Gohueng pitcher Louie Cole, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Gohueng Grounds by a final score of 5-2. Cole went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Muju's record now stands at 30-30, placing them 5th in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Hanguk League.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Yukinaga Higashi came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Gohueng pitcher Natsuo Oshima, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Muju on top, 3-2.
Higashi told a Muju Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
