Starting pitcher Marcos Flores was a major factor in the 5-0 Daegu Dragons triumph over the Gohueng Gom. Flores picked up the win for Daegu, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 4-5. Daegu, now 19-34, holds down last place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Hanguk League.
Bill Gibson took Gohueng hurler Raúl Hernández deep in the top of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Dragons on top, 2-0. In all, Gibson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"This game will humble you at times and you've got to buck up and deal with it," said Gohueng manager Joe Johnston.
