Stewart King of Fling with No-Hitter
|
The Suwon Morning Swords had a lot to celebrate as 18-year-old hurler Don Stewart no-hit the Busan Whales at Hwaseong Fortress Stadium.
In an impressive outing that keyed the 1-0 Morning Swords victory, Stewart had 9 strikeouts and surrendered 1 walk.
"He mixed his pitches well and hit his spots, plus he got a little help from above," said Suwon manager Héctor Galló. "Don really took it to another level today."
This season, Stewart has crafted a 4-4 mark with a 2.04 ERA in 61.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .138 against him and he has 74 strikeouts.
