Dragons Lose, 4-3, as Morning Swords Rally
|
The Morning Swords grabbed a win, 4-3, at Daegu Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Daegu pitcher Brian Wood. Wood went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Kyle Calleson snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Mark Miller suffered the loss. Dustin Bailey finished to wrap up his 4th save.
Suwon needed the clutch hitting of Joseph Sellers to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Morning Swords on top, 4-3. For the game, Sellers had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Sellers told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."
By defeating Daegu, the first-place Morning Swords improved to 32-17.
