Whales Dump Sejong, 2-1, to Win 4th in a Row
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Busan Whales and the Sejong Administrators, pitcher Zhi-qiang Ec was the difference between victory and defeat. The Busan left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Whales win. Ricardo López notched his 1st save of the season. The Whales now own a record of 28-21.
Busan used a clutch at-bat from Tak-hing Sun to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Whales ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Tough loss," said Sejong manager Ralph McCabe. "This one will sting for a while."
